Your son or daughter should already have received their tickets to sell. Each ticket provides you an opportunity to win a free year of tuition. The more your student sells, the more chances they have to win! If your student sells all of their tickets by May 13th, they receive a FREE Dress Down day (No Uniforms). After may 13th, additional tickets can be made available to those who have sold all of their tickets and would like to sell more. You can sell them to grandparents, aunts/uncles, neighbors and friends. The drawing will be held on May 21st at The Wizard of Oz performance.

Congratulations to the Savio softball team on their 4-2 victory over Halletsville Sacred Heart yesterday. The girls now move on to semi-final competition this Friday in Waco. They will play Galveston O’Connell Prep at 10:30 am. Go Lady Eagles!!!

(Savio vs. Houston Cypress Christian, 5/10, 3:30 pm)
Savio baseball won an exciting playoff game Thursday on the road gainst Ft. Worth Bethesda Chrisitan 2-1. Stephen Bierschenk pitched a complete game for Savio only allowing 3 hits. Coming into the game Savio posted a 16-11 record and Bethesda was 16-2. Tyler Martinez drove in the 1st run of the game and then late in the game Matt Howell came through with a 2 out double that drove in the go ahead run. St. Dominic Savio (17-11) will now face Houston Cypress Christian (16-11) on Tuesday May 10th at 3:30pm. Savio baseball is now in the final 8 of the state tournament!
Tickets are now on sale for Savio’s spring musical production of The Wizard of Oz. For your convenience, this year’s tickets will be sold online through TickeTTracker for only $10 plus a small convenience charge of $0.75. Because you will be able be to print your tickets at home there will not be a “Will Call” pickup. Online tickets will stop selling 2 hours before the beginning of each show. You will then be able to purchase tickets at the door for that night’s performance.

Savio Softball scored 18 runs on Tuesday night, defeating Fort Worth Temple Christian by a final score of 18-3. Kat Rivera got the win and had 13 strike outs. Anna Carter was 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs, and Ashlee Keeley was 4 for 4 with 2 RBIs.
Next up for the Lady Eagles is a Regional Round against Hallettsville Sacred Heart on Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 (in Hallettsville at 5pm).
This win also marks the first team play-off win in Savio’s school history. Way to go Lady Eagles!
